4Ever Fit

A choreographed, yet low impact aerobics class that focuses on the core and abs, followed by a quick stretch and cool down.


Balance Barre & Core

Lift tuck curl, ballet and pilates inspired exercises focusing on balance and strength. Specific muscle sculpting exercises to tone the body.


Cardio Sculpt

High energy fitness class that combines cardio conditioning and muscle strengthening, using a variety of agility activities, weight training, and bodyweight exercises.



Every movement starts from the core. Pilates will strengthen the core and lengthen the spine when you focus and engage the abs.


Pilates Core

A full hour of core work based on Pilates movements to help strengthen, balance & improve flexibility.


Simply Strength

Fifty-five minutes of varied exercises using bands, barbells, dumbbells, stability balls, or simply your own body weight, followed by 20 minutes of stretching to improve flexibility.



Great for all fitness levels, this choreographed calorie-burning workout can be executed on a bench (step) or the floor and is followed by a stretch and cool down.


Step & Pump

Higher energy than our Step! class, this progressive total body and core resistance workout focuses on glutes and abs (butts and guts).


TRX & Tone

This combo of TRX Suspension Training is sure to challenge your body and targets building strength around the body’s core to improve mobility and stability.



Focused on building strength & stamina while moving through poses with modifications if needed. Yoga-Power is a great detox for the body!



Gentle practice working on breath and alignment while stretching connective tissues and lubricating joints. This will reduce tension by creating balance in the mind and body.



Combines high-energy, motivating music with unique moves that allow the participants to dance away their worries. ZUMBA believes that a workout should be “Fun and Easy to do”.

Meet Our Instructors

Zumba Cheryl

Stephanie Fortunato

Zumba Instructor
Stephanie Fortunato became a licensed Zumba instructor in August 2018 at the culmination of a 4-year weight loss and health recovery journey. Dance has been a big part of her life since her formal training in Brooklyn, and her club days in NYC. Her playlist is a musical buffet including Reggaeton, Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Soca, Cha cha, Tango, Hip hop, Swing, Disco & Country dance beats. Each class is a fitness jam disguised as a party filled with Zumba fun.


Marisa Karoutsos

Yoga Instructor
Marisa is a certified Vinyasa Flow instructor and her education in dance and musical theater gives her a unique perspective on flow, and the comprehensive ability to move students through creative and challenging sequences. She loves offering meditative and visionary techniques to help quiet the mind, and allow students to focus on their bodies and energies.

Whitney Noble

Whitney’s fitness journey began as she decided to further herself in education with medical, learning that exercise is a very important part of maintaining health and well being. Whitney is certified in YTT 2016 involving group exercise as well as personal training. She incorporates medical benefits of the exercises while doing them with a goal to meet the needs of others while having a great time!

Zumba Cheryl

Zumba Instructor
Cheryl Smith, aka the “Zumba Queen” has been a certified Zumba Instructor since October 2016. Cheryl loves Zumba Fitness and the joy that it brings to her participants. Her Zumba playlist features a wide range of music from Salsa, Merengue and Afro Beats, plus old school & radio!


Jennifer Taginski

Fitness Class Instructor
Jennifer is well-versed as a fitness instructor, yoga instructor and athletic trainer. In college Jennifer studied sports medicine and became an athletic trainer, working with all types of athletes from high school kids to international rugby teams. Jennifer began practicing yoga and loves the strength and balance it brings to her life while focusing on safety and function.


Judy H Boss-Currie

Yoga Instructor
Judy is a native of Wilmington and moved back to the area in 2013. Judy obtained her first yoga certification in 2009 in Fayetteville, North Carolina at Om Yoga Studio. She now holds a 500-hour Therapeutic Yoga certification and is certified through the International Association of Yoga (IAYT).

Daria is a certified AFAA/NASM Group Exercise instructor with additional certifications in TRX and Barre Above. Daria enjoys teaching and her goal is to help folks reach their body and health goals by integrating fun, challenging, exercises into a class format.

Joe Salerno

Zumba Instructor
Zumba means many different things to all sorts of people- for Joe it’s like an exercise in disguise or even something like recess back in the grade school days. Joe enjoys teaching Zumba because it works and its fun. Joe is proof of that, having lost over 65 pounds and keeping the weight off! He hopes to help others do the same while having fun.

Amy Coleman

Amy Lynelle Coleman

Pilates Instructor
Amy is a certified Pilates teacher through the Pilates Method Alliance organization and has been a Pilates instructor for The Crest since 2005. Her Pilates journey began while working as a professional dance theater performer. Through injury, she was introduced to Pilates and soon discovered that Pilates would be her new life’s work.

Paul Ingold

Fitness Class Instructor
Paul Ingold, BA/AS, began his health and fitness career in 1983 as a personal and corporate fitness trainer, aerobic instructor, aerobic director, and has taught varieties of group exercise classes. Paul began teaching at the original Crest Fitness Club in Wrightsville Beach in 1986. Paul has worked in outpatient sports medicine, acute care, and sub-acute care settings and currently provides in-home orthopedic and major medical physical therapy for the geriatric population.
